Hmm, how would you do if you've updated minecraft? I know very little about stuff like this, I know the basics but not more so I appreciate these posts

Sorry, the usual method doesn't work anymore. Notch patched it. I am now unable to join due to the update. I should have tried before posting. Sorry.

So does anyone know how you get on the server or when it will be accessable again?

This is the first time I have ever updated the server to anything. There is a chance we might lose the current world because of it.
I have backed up the world before updating. Hopefully it works.. I'll update this post as I go.

Well seeing the current status on the poll to reset the world, it doesn't seem to be that much of a problem losing the world in the process of updating the server. I suppose people would rather have an updated server than keeping the old one (if that's even possible).

Correct you are Alfen. I'm sure people wouldn't mind starting over.

Edit: It's updated, however all mods are outdated. There are no working ones at the moment.. =/

The maps seems no longer usable either. I will try to see if I can upload the maps for everyone to download and play around in single player at their leisure. No promises.

It seems like bug makes you spawn with 1 diamond axe, 1 diamond pickaxe, 1 diamond shovel, 64 torches and 64 beds. So when you log in you see everyone has filled the entire spawn area with hundreds of beds and torches. Don't know if we should just try taking everything away or if we should reset the world again.

Yeah.. and when you die you get new stuff, so if you die near spawn you kan just go and take your old stuff that you died with and get more and more.. and it will become boring after a wile.. i mean it is mych funnier to play if you have to do some thing to get stuff luke diamond pickaxex, shivels, swords and axes.
